Endangered Species

Glacier National Park, while home to many endangered species, hosts Bull trout, which is illegal to possess. Bull trout reproduction requires cold water and very low amounts of silt, both of which are negatively impacted by road building and logging.
Invasive/Exotic Species

The Zebra/Quagga mussels are one of the many exotic species harming Glacier waters. Many new species and plants such as Eurasian watermilfoil have been introduced into Glacier by boats and fishermen. Glacier National park has therefor published the New Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Program to help reduce and prevent the introduction of invasive species.
